Stressed pets.

On our latest #prongcast, Prong2 told me that rats get stressed. I’ve never been a pet person (why would you invite an animal into your house?) so I didn’t know if he was having me on. Do you/did you have a pet that suffered from stress and how did this stress manifest itself? Let me know via the comments button or @anunknowncomic

Shed 7(80 000)

Apparently Zoe Ball has lost 780 000 listeners from the Radio 2 Breakfast show in 3 months. I have to applaud her for this. It’s better to shed people who aren’t keen on what you do than have them sniping from the side. Over the years I’ve managed to whittle the people who like what I do down to 8-15 (and I’m one of the 8-15). Anyway back to Zoe, are you one of those 780 000 listeners & if so what do you listen to in the morning instead? Let me know via the comments button or @anunknowncomic. Cheers

Taking back control (of buses).

There’s 42 bus companies in Greater Manchester. Having lived in Manchester for more years than I’ve not, I don’t think I could name 5. It just goes to show, you wait ages for 1 bus company to bid for a route then 42 come along at once.      @anunknowncomic  Feel free to check out my comedy prongcast. Cheers

Cracking India

The young boffins who monitor ‘my reach’ tell me that in the last 2 weeks, outside of the UK, my 1minblog is most popular in India. Apparently if I can crack India, I’ll never have to work again. So before I hit the big time I just want to say “so long suckers!”

Have you lent a stranger your phone?

I was in a playground this morning, when a man outside the playground asked if he could use my phone to ring his friend. He tried to reassure me everything was above board by saying I could keep hold of the phone. There was nothing about him or his request that made me think this would be a good idea so I lied and said I’d left my phone at home but was I right? Have you ever lent your phone to a stranger and it turned out well? Maybe that’s how you met your wife/husband etc… Feel free to let me know via the comments button or @anunknowncomic

How do you swing?

I spend a lot of time in playgrounds (I HAVE A YOUNG CHILD). A large part of that time is spent pushing my boy on the swing. This time has in no way been wasted time as it’s enabled me to witness the different techniques at play. People either push from behind, the front or stand at the side and swing the chain. Which is your preference? For what it’s worth I’m firmly in the push from behind camp. Feel free to let me know your thoughts, either via the comments button or @anunknowncomic

Do you use a small fork?

I rarely listen to much that Sir Alan Lord Sugar has to say but every time I use a teaspoon to eat some cereal I think of him. This is because a few years ago I remember him evangelising the benefits of using small cutlery. His reasoning being that by using a small fork or spoon you will trick your brain into thinking it’s eaten more than it has. With this in mind, I was wondering if you subscribe to the undersized cutlery theory, or is it just Lord Sugar (and occasionally me). Let me know via the comments button or @anunknowncomic.
